The idea of the Mobile Tax Help Unit (MTHU) for the service and facilitation of the Taxpayers at their doorstep has been introduced for the first time by Mr. Asrar Raouf, Director General, Regional Tax Office, Karachi. Two Mobile Vans with computers fitted therein are being managed under the supervision of Dr.Manzoor Ahmed Memon, Additional Commissioner, Regional Tax Office, Karachi. These MTHU’s visit different hospitals, educational Institutions, banks, Government Organizations like City District Government, Karachi,  Building Control Authority, High Court, Sindh Secretariat etc. on daily basis and hold meeting with the potential taxpayers to ably help and guide them in filing their returns of income. A total of 97 organizations have so far been visited by the MTHU teams. These visits have drawn a very favourable response from the taxpayers.
